The Laboratory for the Research of the Musculoskeletal System (LRMS) is an independent laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Athens. LRMS was established in 1979 as a part of the Orthopaedic Division of the School of Medicine of the University of Athens, and since 1991 it has operated as an independent Laboratory. Its scientific efforts target the study of the pathogenetic mechanisms of normal and abnormal conditions of the musculoskeletal system and in the development of new therapeutic regimens.
